Purpose of the (Pre-Sup) Group:
“To proclaim and defend the truth of the Christian worldview”
God’s Word teaches in Romans 1:18-23 that everyone knows that God exists and are therefore without excuse for their sin against Him.
Therefore it is not our intentions to prove God’s existence in the traditional sense but rather to expose the fact that everyone already knows that He does and denial of this truth reduces ones worldview to the absurd. This is done with a particular focus on epistemology in accordance with Col. 2:3 and Prov. 1:7.
The Christian worldview holds to an externally justifiable revelational epistemology (theory of knowledge).
That all of the preconditions required for knowledge rests not on our autonomous fallible selves, but on the sovereign (1st Samuel 2:10) infallible (James 1:17) omnipotent (Jer. 32:17, Matt. 19:26, Lk 1:47, Job 42:2) self-revealing God of the Old and New Testament (Rom. 1:18-22) who is able to and does reveal some things to His fallible creatures such that they can be certain of them. It is this God alone (Isa. 45:5) who reveals the validity of our senses, memory and reasoning via innate revelation (Rom. 1:18-22). Reveals the nature of morality via our consciences and His word (Rom. 2:14-15), and provides the justification for the laws of logic (Law of Identity-Exodus 3:14, Law of Excluded middle-Luke 11:23, Law of Non-contradiction Mal. 3:16) and uniformity of nature via special revelation through the Bible (Gen. 8:22). Additionally, the power and majesty of God is shown via natural revelation by observing and discovering that which has been made. I.E. all of creation. (Psa. 8:3-4)
Non-Christians will be asked to provide an epistemology from THEIR respective world-views in order to participate here at BTWN. Discussion, debate, dialogue etc., all require knowledge. As such, we want to hear how knowledge can be grounded from those who reject the Biblical worldview. If you are uncomfortable answering such questions, please feel free to simply observe. If you refuse to answer questions regarding your epistemology, this is not the right group for you. Questions are permitted and always welcomed. But any and all truth/knowledge claims will be challenged.
If your worldview cannot account for knowledge, your ability to dialogue among us will be based on the truth of the Christian epistemology and thus Christianity and we will answered accordingly.

It does not matter where you’re coming from. Your arguments need to be cogent and respectful. We have no intention of letting folks post remarks that reflect bigotry or false witness. Make it count and keep it real. No filibustering, if you want to write a book get a publisher.
You are expected to interact with what is said to you, that means that you can’t just keep repeating the same thing over and over after being challenged on your content. If you don’t have an answer then stop posting or just say that you don’t have an answer.
Please resist the urge to post links to this page on other people’s walls without their permission. We are finding that some folk find it necessary to come over here and post links to their pages that have nothing to do with the thread topic that they are on. We find this to be very bad form.
