I live in an …

I live in an evidenced based reality. Respectfully, you or no one else can prove Jesus Christ existed, even if you could prove he existed you can’t prove that he was the son of Yahweh, even if you could prove he was the son of Yahweh, you can’t prove Yahweh existed because he’s invisible.

“From my viewpoint what you are saying is: God/Yahweh(all knowing/all powerful) sacrificed himself(in the person of Jesus) to himself so humans can be saved from the Hell that he(Yahweh)created.

Does this sound rational to you?

  1. Unbelievably this is the answer I got…(from a facebook discussion)

“Yep! It all makes sense to me. Oh by the way Hell was created for the Devil and his angels.”

  2. It makes about as much sense to me as “before anything existed, there was nothing. One day ‘nothing’ exploded and created everything. Then, non-living substances suddenly sprang to life on their own and eventually evolved into us.” The way I see it, everyone lives in a faith based reality.

P.S. If you want to get technical, no one can “prove” Julius Caesar existed either.

    • First, thank you very much for reading the post and responding.

      (My Response:)
The Big Bang theory is an effort to explain what happened at the very beginning of our universe. Discoveries in astronomy and physics have shown beyond a reasonable doubt that our universe did in fact have a beginning. Prior to that moment there was nothing; during and after that moment there was something: our universe. The big bang theory is an effort to explain what happened during and after that moment.

Evolution is the change in the inherited characteristics of biological populations over successive generations. Evolutionary processes give rise to diversity at every level of biological organisation, including species, individual organisms and molecules such as DNA and proteins.
All life on earth is descended from a last universal ancestor that lived approximately 3.8 billion years ago. Repeated speciation and the divergence of life can be inferred from shared sets of biochemical and morphological traits, or by shared DNA sequences.[2] These homologous traits and sequences are more similar among species that share a more recent common ancestor, and can be used to reconstruct evolutionary histories, using both existing species and the fossil record. Existing patterns of biodiversity have been shaped both by speciation and by extinction.

Faith = strong belief without evidence

I don’t see where faith is relevant in science exploration.

Your statement “One day ‘nothing’ exploded and created everything. Then, non-living substances suddenly sprang to life on their own and eventually evolved into us.” grossly over simplifies two branches of scientific discovery.

It CAN be proven that Julius the Caesar existed through multiple documents, archaeology, etc.

Even if a person could not prove Julius Caesar existed does not mean that God/Yahweh, Jesus Christ or any other supernatural being existed either.
